Massapequa Park is an incorporated village and hamlet within the town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, Long Island, New York. In the 2019 census of the village, it had a population of 17,193. Areas south and east of the village are considered the hamlet of Massapequa Park because they are under the Town of Oyster Bay rather than the village. The hamlet shares the 11762 zip code, fire department and school district as the village.

The village on the South Shore of Long Island shares the early history of Massapequa. In the 19th century, families of German descent moved from Brooklyn to what is now Massapequa Park. The resulting settlement was known as "Wurtenberg." Its main attraction was the Woodcastle Hotel, constructed in 1868 next to the fire department as a summer resort. However, it was destroyed in 1952 by a fire and replaced by homes.

The New York Times printed ads for Massapequa Park in 1928. The park developed and built by the development firm of Frank Cryan, Michael J. Brady, and Peter Colleran was described by the three Irish-Americans as having a bit of Old Erin, with areas between Sunrise Highway and Merrick Road still bearing Irish street names.

In 1931, the community was incorporated as a village to ensure control of land use and other issues. The developers built several kit houses from Sears Roebuck in two areas of Massapequa Park. These kits included some of the largest model kit houses offered by Sears.

Massapequa Park was once home to the Fitzmaurice Flying Field, named for James Fitzmaurice in 1929, one of three crew members who were the first to fly a plane from east to west across the Atlantic. The field was primarily used by private planes and was eventually closed and turned into the home of the athletic fields of the 4M Club.

From the 1960x to the 1980s, the Massapequa School District had seven elementary schools, including East Lake, Carman Road, Fairfield, Birch Lane, Unqua, Lockhart, and Hawthorn; two junior high schools, including Ames and McKenna; and two high schools, namely Massapequa nad Alfred G. Berner.

In 1987, the Massapequa School District was reorganized by leasing Carmans Road elementary to Nassau BOCES and Hawthorne Elementary to the Nassau County Police Academy. The Farmingdale School District serves the northern section of Massapequa Park.

The incorporated village of Massapequa Park is in the southern part of Oyster Bay on Long Island, New York. It is bordered to the west by Massapequa, to the east by East Massapequa, to the northwest by North Massapequa, and to the north by South Farmingdale.
